The Certified Government Chief Information Officer (CGCIO) Certification Program is a 12-month course that lays the foundation for assessing and addressing the most critical issues IT leaders face in the public sector. Tuition is $3,800, and MISAC members get a $500 discount.

Public sector IT managers and CIOs are facing increasing responsibilities and challenges as the lines between traditional functional services and departments continue to blur. As an IT team leader, you are expected to: (1) manage the constantly expanding role for IT within your local government, (2) protect your organization against new security threats, and (3) keep up with the feverish pace of new technologies.
